Palestine NHRI calls for war crimes investigation

Palestine’s Independent Commission for Human Rights said Israel’s military offensive in the Gaza Strip showed “blatant disregard of the basic laws stipulated in the Fourth Geneva Convention regarding the protection of civilians during times of war.”

Consultations on Pakistan NHRI bill

A delegation from the APF and the OHCHR recently met with parliamentarians and civil society organisations in Pakistan to discuss the draft bill establishing the country’s national human rights institution.

The five accredited APF member institutions reviewed by the International Coordinating Committee in November 2008 have each retained their accreditation status.
